Review: ZAYA Eco Skincare Natural Face Cream, Body Oil, and Face Oil

Zaya Skincare Review

With winter less than a month away, it’s time to prepare skin for months of frigid temperatures, dry air and blustery winds. Luckily, ZAYA Eco Skincare has products to make the seasonal transition easier.

Not only do ZAYA’s products work wonders for fatigued and sensitive skin, they’re also purely natural, vegan, cruelty free, toxin-free, and beautifully packaged in eco-friendly bottles. All products are carefully developed by an experienced team of PhD chemists and made in Toronto, Canada.
The combination of sophistication, science, luxury, and natural elements is everything I want in a skincare line, so I was eager to accept the opportunity to try ZAYA products.

Read on for my thoughts on some exciting face and body products.

Zaya Willow Herb Raspberry Oil Face Cream Review

The Willow-herb & Raspberry Oil Face Cream* is great for sensitive skin like mine as it calms skin irritations and sensitivities. It also slows down the destruction of collagen, suppresses the growth of acne and narrows the pores, minimizes water loss, protects from photo-aging, plumps and firms skin, possesses anti-inflammatory and healing properties, and acts as a natural UV barrier.

I have especially noticed its soothing effects under my nose and on the apples of my cheeks where I experience irritation and mild rosacea when the weather gets cold. So far, this moisturizer has been keeping these areas under control. While I cannot comment on its effectiveness at clearing skin since I do not experience acne or enlarged pores, I can say that this moisturizer makes my skin look and feel supple and hydrated but never greasy or sticky. Since I don’t wear foundation or face powder, I depend on my morning moisturizer to give me a smooth and balanced base, and this product has been performing very well.

Zaya Grapefruit Rosemary Body Oil Review

The Grapefruit & Rosemary Body Oil* is a custom blend of precious plant oils derived from organic herbs, fruits, nuts, and seeds to provide long-lasting hydration for silky and smooth skin. Grapefruit and rosemary essential oils provide a light yet energizing scent while firming skin and protecting it from the drying effect of tap water. This feature is especially important during winter months when we stay in those hot showers for longer than necessary. The body oil also includes Castor oil to promote collage production, soften skin, and diminish age spots.

The first thing I noticed when I applying this product to my skin is that it creates a pleasant warming sensation which is very comforting on a cold morning. It made me feel calm, cozy, and ready to start my day. I used this product after showering and shaving my legs which was a great test since applying moisturizer on freshly-shaved legs often leaves me with irritation bumps. I did not experience them with this product though. My legs were left feeling soft and silky but not greasy, so I did not have to wait to get dressed like I do with some body lotions. I love the feeling that I get from this product and am eager to use it every morning.

Zaya Geranium Rosewood Face Oil Review

The Geranium & Rosewood Face Oil* is a blend of eight plant-based oils that is multi-tasking, lightweight, and perfect for all skin types, including oily and combination. It nourishes the skin with vitamins and essential fatty acids to prevent fine lines, protect from environmental toxins and impurities, balance out sebum production, and provide a fresh and radiant look. It also works as a makeup-base with natural UV protection.

My favourite thing about this product is that it does not leave a sticky or greasy residue on the skin. I like my skin to feel clean yet hydrated, and this oil does the trick. If my skin is feeling dry in the morning, I use this oil like a serum and apply it before Willow-herb & Raspberry Oil Face Cream for some extra protection throughout the day. At night, I mix this oil with my moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated while I sleep. I find that this is especially helpful when the furnace is on since it can be very drying through the night. When I use this oil before bed, I wake up to very fresh-looking, youthful skin. It’s a great treatment for the neck and chest as well since these are two areas that we often neglect when moisturizing but really shouldn’t since they can show some of the first signs of aging. I also really love the scent of this product. It’s slightly herbal but also warm and relaxing.

Overall, I am very impressed with ZAYA Eco Skincare products. Over the years, I have had trouble finding natural products that provide quality results, but ZAYA has thoroughly filled that void for me. Their natural products not only work well, but they are also very luxurious and provide a unique experience that makes me feel like I’m doing something good for my body. I highly recommend them for those with sensitive skin or anyone who is looking for a high-quality natural skincare line.
