Review: Sothys Paris Multi-Action Eye Contour and Dark Circle Eraser

Sothys Paris Multi action eye contour and dark circle eraser review

At the end of 2017, I went on a search for a new eye cream that would significantly improve the appearance of my dark circles while hydrating, reducing puffiness, and minimizing fine lines. I tried products from the drugstore, department stores, and even some from online brands represented by independent agents, but did not find what I was looking for. Most eye creams that helped with dark circles were too drying and made fine lines more visible, and those that were hydrating did nothing for my raccoon eyes.

When I was about to give up my search, I discovered that Sothys Paris, one of my favourite skincare brands, also has a range of eye treatments. I must have been so focused on their amazing serums and moisturizers that I overlooked their eye products.

If you are unfamiliar with Sothys, it is an avant-garde beauty expert that produces products sold exclusively in beauty institutes and spas. This highly specialized brand has an extraordinary commitment to research and innovation, which is shown through its effective line of luxurious skin and body care.

The eye products from Sothys include a special formulation, developed through advanced research, that includes second-generation flax extract and mountain flower extract derived from plant stem cells. The effectiveness of this formula is rooted in glycobiology which highlights the role of sugars to help the skin protect and regenerate itself for improved overall function.

Since March of this year, I have been using two Sothys eye products. First is the Multi-Action Eye Contour*. This product is meant to make the eyes look visibly younger by diminishing the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness.

I have been using this eye cream twice daily, in the morning and at night, and have been very impressed with the results. I have definitely seen a reduction in dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness. It is also very hydrating without being greasy or leaving a shiny cast under my eyes.

I have inserted a photo of the product which is a cream-gel hybrid. It’s very comfortable to apply and absorbs well, leaving the skin soft and moisturized. I also really like that the product comes in a bottle with a pump to prevent any bacteria from getting in.

The other Sothys eye product that I tried is the Dark Circle Eraser*. This corrector is a powdery tinted emulsion that targets and disguises dark circles. The formula is thin and easy to pat on the eye area to give it a brighter, more even appearance. It sets quickly without looking sticky or cakey.

As you can see from the photo below, it has a peach tint that helps counteract the blue, purple, and green tones that make dark circles appear so pronounced. This product works well under concealer and applies smoothly on a hydrated eye area. I like to apply the Multi-Action Eye Contour and give it about five minutes to absorb before applying this corrector. It’s great to use for special events where you will be photographed and want to look awake and flawless.

Sothys Paris dark circle eraser review

Overall, I highly recommend the Sothys Multi-Action Eye Contour and Dark Circle Eraser for anyone looking to improve their eye care routine. Both products are opthamologicaly tested on sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. My eyes are very sensitive and I have not encountered any irritation from these products.

Like other Sothys products, these eye treatments are a bit of a splurge but very worth the price in my opinion. The Multi-Action Eye Contour is now my go-to eye cream. I have been using it for four months and there is still quite a bit of product left, but I purchased a backup just in case. I use the Dark Circle Eraser less frequently since I do not wear makeup regularly, but as I continue to use the Multi-Action Eye Contour, I find a corrector to be less necessary. This makes me very happy as my goal is always to keep my skin in its best shape possible to minimize the need for makeup.
