Although fall is my favourite season, it is also the busiest time of year for me at my full time job. If you have been following Writing Beauty for a few years, you may have noticed that new posts are infrequent between September and December. My plan for 2018 was to try to avoid such a long break, so here I finally am in November with a new post.
In my city, we usually see the first snowfall in December, but this year winter came early and all I can think about is glittery snowflakes, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and decorating my house for the holidays. Since I’m not quite ready for a traditional holiday manicure, I created this look that captures the magic of winter.
The base is Julep Jennye, a grey-purple holographic polish. I added some extra glitz with a light coat of Essie Stroke of Brilliance. It reminds me of snow, New Year’s Eve, and Christmas lights.
What are you wearing on your nails during this fall-winter transition?
