NOTD: Essie Romper Room

Essie Romper Room

I first posted about Romper Room in my June Nail Polish Haul (check it out HERE). This pastel pink polish is part of Essie’s Spring 2014 Hide & Go Chic Collection.

If you have been following my Nail of the Day (NOTD) posts, you know how much I love pastel pink cream finish polishes. I’m starting to lose count of how many I have, but I really believe that I do not have two that look the same on the nails. They all have different consistencies, formulas, undertones, and shade variations.

Romper Room is more of a neutral pink with slight peach undertones. Essie describes it as a pale tea rose pink which I think is accurate. It makes the nails look fresh and neat, and I think I love the colour almost as much as I love Essie’s Fiji (my all time favourite pastel pink).

The formula of Romper Room is fairly easy to work with. The polish looks even after two coats but I prefer how opaque it is with three. It dries to a shiny finish before top coat and lasted on me for about six days without any chipping. I received lots of compliments on this shade and found it very easy to wear since it looks great with any outfit.

Overall, I highly recommend Romper Room for anyone who loves pastel pink polishes or is looking for an effortlessly chic colour to wear year round.
