Omorose Cosmetics Review

Omorose Cosmetics Review Lip Dressing in Creme Brulee and Rosey Glow in Showbiz

While I’m not much of a traveller, I love learning about beauty products from around the world. For this reason, I’m very excited to share my thoughts with you on products from Omorose, a cosmetics brand from Malaysia.

Terry, the company’s founder, is an experienced makeup artist committed to creating products that appeal to everyone and deliver exceptional results. He knew from the beginning that his cosmetics would represent a passion for life and the true beauty in people, so he named the company Omorose which means beautiful in Egyptian.

Not only do the products come in appealing packaging and a range of shades that flatter many skin tones, they also contain natural preservatives and are paraben, phenoxyethanol, phthalate, mineral oil, and animal ingredient free. In addition, they are not tested on animals.

Products from this line include BB sticks, finishing powder, blush, eyeshadow, lip balm, lip colour, and fancy false lashes. I tried products from the lip and cheek categories.

First is the Lip Dressing in Creme Brulee* ($13 USD). This vegan lip balm is infused with coconut oil, avocado oil, argan oil, and Vitamin E to nourish and protect lips. The shade Creme Brulee is a pretty, neutral pink that’s close to my natural lip colour and gives my lips a smooth, hydrated look. It's perfect to wear on a no-makeup day, or to pair with a dark eyeshadow. The hydration is fairly long lasting, so the product does not have to be reapplied often. I like how the scent, which smells like white chocolate, is not overpowering. The packaging is also nice since the tube is more oval shape than round like most lip balms which makes it easy to carry in your pocket. In addition to this shade, the product comes in six others as well as a clear balm.

Next is the Rosey Glow in Showbiz* ($23 USD) which was most exciting for me as I can never get enough blush. Most days, I only wear blush and usually go straight to the blush displays when I walk into a department store, drugstore, or Sephora. I really appreciate the unique formula and packaging of this cheek tint. It’s categorized as a hydrating gel blush that provides a lasting, natural glow. The gel formula is very light and applies nicely on bare skin without feeling sticky or heavy. It’s also very easy to blend and really does last for hours without fading. The packaging reminds me of the EOS lip balms, but I have never seen a blush packaged in this way. The dome-like shape of the product makes it easy to apply directly on the apples of the cheeks, and the cylindrical packaging with twist-on cap is very safe and secure for travelling. Not to mention, the turquoise colour is very pretty and looks nice on my vanity. As for the colour of the blush, Showbiz is a red shade that is buildable and wearable, even on pale, cool-toned skin like mine. It reminds me a lot of the colour of Benetint from Benefit. This cheek tint also comes in four other shades.

I recommend them for those who are looking for products that provide a natural look and those who want to try products from around the world that contain safe ingredients.
