NOTD: Julep Erin
I received Julep Erin in the September 2014 Julep Maven Boho Glam box. It’s described by Julep as an oyster grey crème. I chose this specific box because, on the Julep site, this shade appeared to be a light grey with lilac undertones. In person, Erin is actually very greenish.
To be honest, I would not have purchased this colour had I known that it was not the colour I was expecting. While very pretty, it’s just not a great colour to complement my skin tone because it tends to highlight the veins in my hands which normally are not very noticeable. If you have very pale, cool-toned skin, this shade may not be the one for you.
That said, I did enjoy how this creamy grey polish applied very smoothly and was opaque in two coats. It also dried fairly quickly to a very shiny finish. I like how the shade is modern and chic for fall and winter.
Overall, while I may not reach for this colour often, I think that it could be the perfect everyday shade for those with darker or warmer skintones.
