NOTD: China Glaze Wanderlust

China Glaze Wanderlust Review

I first posted about Wanderlust in my June Nail Polish Haul (check it out HERE). This pink polish with hints of purple is part of China Glaze’s Spring 2015 Road Trip Collection.

Although this shade looks fairly pink in the photo above, it appears more lilac in person. It has a nice sheen that morphs into a delicate shimmer in the sunlight. I love how it looks on my nails in the photo above, but in person it doesn’t really complement my fair skin. It makes my hands look pale and dull. That said, it is still a beautiful shade that will look nice on other skin tones. For those of you with lighter skin tones, I recommend Zoya Jaime. It’s one of my favourites and what I expected
Wanderlust to look like.

As for the formula of Wanderlust, it applies streaky with the first two coats but evens out nicely with the third. I let each coat dry really well before applying the next to minimize streaks. It dries to a moderately shiny finish and looks glossy with a top coat. Sadly, this polish began chipping on me after about three days. I don’t always get the best staying power with China Glaze polishes, but I was really hoping for the best with this one.

Regardless of how the shade looks with my skin tone and its tendency to chip, I still think that Wanderlust is a beautiful polish and I’m happy to have it in my collection.
