Mint & Silver Snowflake Nail Art
Here’s my first attempt at nail art for 2018. It’s been a couple years since I created my Shimmering Snowflakes Nail Art, so I thought it was time for another winter look.
Although it’s foggy and rainy where I live today, I know the snow will be back, and it’s only a matter of time before I wake up to a beautiful winter wonderland. Unlike most people I know, I genuinely like winter. It’s a great excuse to spend all day under a cozy blanket with my cats, drink lots of hot chocolate, and watch the sparkly snowflakes out the window.
With this look, I wanted to capture the dazzling, magical elements of the season with a couple of my old favourites: Essie Mint Candy Apple and Zoya Trixie. While Mint Candy Apple is a well-known shade, I consider Trixie to be an underrated colour that deserves more recognition. It’s pigmented, easy to apply, and looks opaque with brilliant sparkle and shine in only two coats. To showcase this polish, I used a small brush and a dotting tool to create a snowflake and some falling snow.
