Zoya Intimate Collection

The polishes below are from Zoya’s Spring 2011 Intimate nail polish collection.
From left to right: Dove, Jules, Marley, Caitlin.

Read on for swatches and descriptions of each shade.

Dove
Zoya describes this colour as: “Soft, delicate light neutral gray with an opaque, glossy creme finish. Unexpected and flattering as a wear-with-anything neutral with a twist.” This colour is a true cream with no shimmer whatsoever. The company gives this cool-toned colour an Intensity rating of 4/5 (1= sheer – 5 = opaque). Three coats were necessary to reach this level of opacity.

Jules
Zoya describes this colour as: “A sparkling neutral light taupe with gold, silver and champagne metallic shimmer. A new modern metallic that gives an ultra-luxe look.” Slight purplish undertones are also visible and make this colour very unique. The company gives this metallic colour, which is both warm and cool toned, an Intensity rating of 4/5 (1= sheer – 5 = opaque). Two coats were necessary to reach this level of opacity.

Marley
Zoya describes this colour as: “Lightest baby lavender touched with a hint of gray-silver and a subtle pearl finish. A versatile, easy to apply and wear pastel shade that's never chalky or harsh.” Although this colour has a cream formula, the polish includes a very fine silver shimmer. The company gives this cool toned colour an Intensity rating of 4/5 (1= sheer – 5 = opaque). Two coats were necessary to reach this level of opacity. The second photo makes Marley look more blue based than it is in real life.

Caitlin
Zoya describes this colour as: “Smoky purple-tinged medium gray with smooth, opaque creme finish. Sultry, mysterious and impossibly chic, a shade that will have everyone intrigued.” This colour is a true cream with no shimmer whatsoever. The company gives this cool toned colour an Intensity rating of 5/5 (1= sheer – 5 = opaque). Three coats were necessary to reach this level of opacity. In real life, Caitlin is less blue based and more of a true purple colour.

****The collection also includes two other colours—Dannii, a medium orchid purple, and Gemma, a light muted olive green with an overlay of blue and violet duochrome shimmer****

  1. I like Jules but I'm not sure if it would be flattering for me right now (let's say it's spring already). if i'm not tanned i'm pale in a porcelain-ish kind of way ;) so a golden colour can be tricky. but on the other hand it has silver so.. :))
greets from poland :) i'm so happy you have finally started a blog :)
